So, pretty much the only thing I like about iTunes is the Shared Music function. It's really awesome being on a shared college campus network and being able to play everyone else's network. Although I wish it was a bit more interactive (like you could send messages to other people's iTunes about what stuff they liked.

Unfortunately, in order to use this/share my own music, I have to abandon Winamp. But I love Winamp, mainly because it's so unobtrusive and compact.

Oh woe is me.

The other act I saw in Boston when I went to see Matt Nathanson was Jonatha Brooke.

All of a sudden I realized that when I was browsing her Pandora profile it mentioned that she went to Amherst College. That would of been a cool small talk moment. Instead, I told her she was pretty good and she gave me that "Just pretty good, eh?" response.

Ah well.

I finally updated my profile. I figured since my age is almost inaccurate by three years now, I should probably update it. My last one was very lame and cheesy. I think this one is a little better.

I want to pimp Matt Nathanson for a little bit. I listen to him all the time obviously, mostly listening to live stuff. He's coming out with a new record on August 14th, called Some Mad Hope. It should be awesome and it will probably take over the world. I've already heard most of the new songs from the live shows, but I can't wait for the album versions. There's already a few songs off the new record on his myspace. "Car Crash" is for sale on his site and is the single that is on some radio stations already. It might be one of my favorite songs of all time. There's also two videos on his myspace, an acoustic at home performance of "All We Are" and a live acoustic peformance of "Car Crash". Both are awesome.

For an easy to listen to example of one of his live shows and why he is so funny and interactive with the crowd, check out this live performance from NPR playing all songs from the new record.

He's also going to be at Copley Square in Boston on 8/16 for free at WBOS' Concert Series. I will definitely be there. I can't wait.

I just added Kelly Clarkson to my Pandora station list. She's sort of a guilty pleasure of mine. The station has already had some intriguing plays. The Veronica, Ashlee Simpson's "Boyfriend" (which I thumbed up, another guilty pleasure), RHCP's "Dani California", and then, I hear the first five seconds of a song and immediately start laughing because despite not having heard this song, in oh, probably not long enough, I immediately know a Britney Spears song is coming up ("Crazy"). Thank you TRL circa late 90s early 00s.

Even funnier, next song on the station, Linkin Park - "With You". WTF?

Apparently Kelly Clarkson is so good she has bridged the gap between bubblegum pop and rap rock.

I ended up renaming the station "Guilty Pleasure Radio", at first I was only joking. I may have to add Ashlee Simpson as a feed. Although I can't think of many other guilty pleasures that are that bad.

BTW, after Linkin Park, Audioslave "Be Yourself", I suppose the station took a turn after giving a thumbs up to RHCP. Although I don't know how Britney got in there.

Edit - This is a fucked up station! It's now playing "Astronomy" by Metallica from Garage Inc. Maybe there's a reason they picked that Metallica song, but very weird.
